Hutchison's triple-double sparks Boise State in 77-54 win (Dec 03, 2017)

BOISE, Idaho (AP) Chandler Hutchison turned in the first recorded triple-double in Boise State history and the Broncos used strong 3-point shooting in overwhelming Portland 77-54 on Sunday.

Hutchison finished with 23 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists to become the only Bronco with a triple-double in the program's list of single-game records that date to the 1985-86 season.

Chris Sengfelder and Justinian Jessup each made five 3-pointers and scored 17 points and Lexus Williams added three treys and 11 points for the Broncos (8-1), who were 15 of 34 from the arc.

The Broncos' fourth straight victory was also the 150th for coach Leon Rice (150-88).

Josh McSwiggan scored 17 points before fouling out and D'Marques Tyson added 10 for the Pilots (3-5).

Sengfelder hit a 3 in the first minute and Hutchison scored nine points in a 14-2 run to start the game. A 16-3 run to end the first half, with three 3-pointers by Jessup, gave Boise State a 47-29 lead. The Broncos' lead never dipped below 19 in the second half.
