BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (AP) Indiana forward Collin Hartman tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee during a workout Saturday in Bloomington.
Coach Tom Crean said in a statement that Hartman was injured when he planted his leg wron during a drill. Crean said further examination will determine whether there is any more damage.
Hartman, a freshman from Indianapolis, had played sparingly this season. He appeared in 16 games, averaging 4.5 minutes, 0.7 points and 0.9 rebounds.
The injury occurred two days after the Hoosiers (17-15) were eliminated in the first round of the Big Ten tournament. Indiana is now waiting to see if it will get into a postseason tournament with the NIT being the most likely.
