INDIANAPOLIS (AP) Darell Combs scored 20 points with four 3-pointers as IUPUI withstood a second-half charge from Miami (Ohio) in a 78-64 win Saturday afternoon, snapping a four-game losing streak.

IUPUI (3-6) opened the second half on an 11-0 run to lead 46-30. But the RedHawks (4-4) came storming back with an 18-4 surge that cut the gap to 50-48 in about five minutes.

Dion Wade, Eric Washington and Zach McCormick each scored 3-pointers and LJ Livingston had a layup and a foul shot as the RedHawks gained ground quickly.

The Jaguars called time and Combs came out of the huddle to score a quick five points, pushing the lead back to seven as IUPUI never trailed in the second half.
