Josh Hart saved Villanova, then made the sportsmanship play of the week

Published Mar. 10, 2017 8:55 p.m. ET

After Josh Hart made one of the best plays of the college basketball season to give Villanova a two-point lead in the final seconds of Friday's Big East semifinal, Seton Hall's Angel Delgado had a chance to force overtime.

Instead, just a few feet from the basket, Delgado couldn't get a great look at a layup to fall. The ball caromed away, the horn sounded, and the Wildcats were winners, advancing to Saturday's Big East championship game (5:30 p.m. ET, FOX).

Delgado immediately dropped to the floor in disappointment as teammates tried to console him, then the definitive comforting words came from an unlikely source: Hart. Villanova's Player of the Year candidate entered the Pirates' huddle to speak to Delgado:

The rest of Villanova's team wasn't far behind Hart to give Delgado his due after a hard-fought game that saw Seton Hall out in front for most of the time. Villanova was trailing by one when Hart flew to the rim to collect a Kris Jenkins miss and convert a layup while getting fouled with less than 10 seconds remaining on the clock:

So what did Hart say to Delgado?

A great moment after one of the most tense games of conference championship week.
