Kennesaw State's 2nd half keys 103-71 win vs NAIA Reinhardt

KENNESAW, Ga. (AP) Bernard Morena scored 20 of his career-high 24 points in the second half and grabbed nine rebounds to help Kennesaw State beat Reinhardt 103-71 on Monday.

Morena connected on 11 of 15 field-goal attempts as Kennesaw State shot 61.5 percent.

Yonel Brown and Kendrick Ray added 18 points apiece for Kennesaw State (4-12). Brown made nine of the Owls' 16 free throws, and Nick Masterson hit five of their seven 3-pointers and finished with a career-high 17 points.

Aubrey Williams had 11 points and 12 rebounds off the bench as the Owls outrebounded Reinhardt 41-23.

Justin Bridges led Reinhardt with 17 points. Perie Finley and Corey Ricks each chipped in with 10.

Finley gave the Eagles a 38-36 lead before Kennesaw State closed the half on an 8-0 run for a 44-38 lead. The Owls shot 68 percent in the second half and led by double digits for the final 14 minutes.
