GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) Denzel Keyes scored 21 points on 9-of-14 shooting and grabbed nine rebounds to help North Carolina A&T beat Maryland-Eastern Shore 78-69 on Monday night.

Aaren Edmead and Kameron Langley had 15 points apiece and Davaris McGowens had 10 points, two steals and two blocks for North Carolina A&T (17-11, 10-3 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference).

The Aggies scored 17 of the last 23 first-half points to take a 43-33 lead into the break. A free throw by Miryne Thomas pulled the Hawks within seven points with 2:23 to play, but they went scoreless from there.

Tyler Jones had 21 points and Logan McIntosh scored 19 with eight rebounds and six assists for Eastern Shore (6-23, 2-12).

NC A&T shot 28 of 54 (51.9 percent) from the field and outscored the Hawks 15-8 from the free-throw line.
