Landis makes late 3 in OT; IPFW beats Western Michigan 89-86

KALAMAZOO, Mich. (AP) Max Landis made a 3-pointer with 14 seconds left in overtime and IPFW beat Western Michigan 89-86 on Tuesday night.

Thomas Wilder converted a 3-point play to give Western Michigan an 86-84 lead with two minutes remaining in overtime. John Konchar made a layup to pull the Mastodons to an 86-all tie.

Tucker Haymond missed a layup for the Broncos and Konchar grabbed the board. Mo Evans missed a layup for IPFW, but Racine Talla pulled in the offensive rebound to set up Landis' game winner. Wilder missed a 3-point attempt and Konchar corralled the rebound to end it.

Landis made a layup with 29 seconds left in regulation to give IPFW an 81-79 lead. Anthony Avery Jr. made a jumper at the buzzer to force overtime.

Landis scored 25 points with six 3-pointers to lead IPFW (10-4). Haymond had 24 points for Western Michigan (5-6).
