OXFORD, Ohio (AP) Josh Williams and J.C. Hampton each scored 17 points, and Lipscomb beat Florida Atlantic University 79-65 Sunday.
George Brammeier added 11 points and grabbed nine rebounds for the Bisons (3-4), who outshot the Owls 51 percent to 36 percent.
Lipscomb pulled ahead 46-30 in the second half after Williams' layup, then led 72-54 after David Wishon's jumper with 4:04 to play. The Bison made 5 of 6 free throws in the final 3-plus minutes to seal it.
FAU led 15-8 after Matthew Reed made back-to-back shots, but Lipscomb pulled ahead on a 10-0 run, then Williams hit a layup and 3-pointer to spark a 10-2 run and Lipscomb led 32-23 at halftime.
Adonis Filer led FAU (1-4) with 15 points on 5-of-12 shooting. Nick Rutherford scored 10 on 5-of-11 shooting and had four assists.
