There might not be a bigger story in college basketball than Lonzo Ball, the freshman star who has helped lead UCLA to an 8-0 start and No. 11 ranking nationally. But as we once again learned Wednesday, Lonzo - who currently leads the nation with 9.6 assists per game, to go along with 14.6 points a night - isn't the only star in the family.

On Wednesday night, Lonzo's younger brother LiAngelo did something that most basketball players - at any level - can only dream of ... tallying 72 points in a high school game.

Yes, you read that correctly: 72 points!

The younger Ball put up 72 in a 128-108 win for Chino Hills High School (Lonzo's alma mater) over Rancho Christian High School. That included 13 three-pointers. And the incredible thing is that he did it in a regulation, 36-minute high school game.

The numbers are staggering, but if you've been following the journey of the Ball brothers, it probably isn't totally surprising. LiAngelo, along with Lonzo and a third, younger brother LaMelo, were the guiding forces at Chino Hills High School last year, leading the school to an undefeated record and state championship. Lonzo won Naismith High School Player of the Year before heading to UCLA.

But don't sleep on his younger brothers. Both LiAngelo, a current senior, and LaMelo, a sophomore, both have committed to UCLA as well and will follow in their brother's footsteps. LiAngelo will be there next year, with a group that some consider to be the No. 1 recruiting class in the country.

Oh, and if you think the 72 from LiAngelo is some kind of fluke, think again: He scored 56 the night before!

By the way, LiAngelo's performance somewhat overshadowed his older brother's, as Lonzo had a ho-hum night on Wednesday, setting a UCLA freshman record with 13 assists in a win over UC-Riverside.
