Louisiana Tech now 4-0 at home, tops Houston Baptist 85-78
RUSTON, La. (AP) — Anthony Duruji scored 15 points and grabbed 11 rebounds and Louisiana Tech remained unbeaten at home with an 85-78 win over Houston Baptist on Saturday night.
The Bulldogs will play five of their seven games in December at home and will leave the state only once.
Ian DuBose got Houston Baptist within a point, 37-36, by hitting a 3-pointer with :39 left in the first half, but Ra'Shawn Langston answered with a layup and Louisiana Tech went into intermission up 39-36. The teams traded leads to start the second half, but Langston scored at the basket to put La Tech up for good with 14:51 left.
The Bulldogs shot 45.3 percent from the field (29 of 64), including 4 of 19 from distance, and was 23 of 27 from the line.
DuBose finished with 19 points to lead Houston Baptist, which shot 28 of 61 from the field (45.9 percent).
All 10 starters in the game scored in double figures.
