Louisville Basketball: 5 Rules For Watching The Kentucky Game
We take a look at the five rules for watching the Louisville basketball game against Kentucky on Wednesday night.
The Louisville basketball game against Kentucky is almost here. These two schools and programs will be looking to put on an amazing display of basketball glory in the Yum Center next Wednesday night.
This is one of the best rivalries because of the success of the two programs, however it’s the fans that make the hype for this game off the charts.
Kentucky is currently on a four game winning streak that needs to end in the Yum Center this season.
With that being said, there are some rules to watching the best college basketball rivalry.

Rule #5: Never, And I Mean Never, Assume That The Game Is Over
Everyone knows excatly what’s going to happen in this game. One team is going to get a huge lead, their fans will start celebrating only to watch the other team regain the lead towards the end. Let’s hope that second team is Louisville on Wedneday night.
Regardless, these games against Kentucky tend to always be decided in the last five minutes of the game.
It doesn’t matter how great one team is or how bad the other can be. All that matters, is who’s going to play the best 40 minutes in the Yum Center.
Again, don’t turn off your TV. Don’t start texting your friends.
Just wait until the final buzzer sounds.

Rule #4: Refrain From Smack-Talk Until The Game Is Over
This is one of the most important things that any sports fan should know. It’s almost the same as assuming the game is already won, but it can reck all of us on a broader scale.
Everyone loves to be on social media during games. It how we all communicate our emotions and frustrations every week, but don’t give in to those twitter trolls who are only trying to make you upset.
For a couple hours on Wednesday night, lose or win, just let it go.
The winning team’s fans will have another full year to talk as much smack as they want to to rival school.

Rule #3: DO NOT Wear Anything Blue On Gameday
I would say that this should be a rule for everyday of the year, but it’s especially true for the game against Kentucky. Literally wear every piece of Cardinals apparel that you own and let everyone know which school you will be supporting on that night.
Once tip-off happens, that’s the final chance to dispose of any blue thing that you could have on. Whether that’s socks or shoes, a shirt or shorts, be sure to swap them out for one of those awesome dunking Cardinal shorts.
If you don’t own those shorts, then just be sure to have some red on.
I firmly believe that everyone wearing red in Louisville will help the basketball team get an edge on Kentucky. Well, at least we can hope so right?

Rule #2: Don’t Complicate Relationships During The Holidays
‘Tis the Holiday season and all through the state of Kentucky, both Cardinal and Wildcat fans will be joining together to watch the basketball game in harmony. Okay, so there are only a few occurrences where that actually happens, therefore this needed to be addressed.
If you are watching the game with a family member or friend that’s a UK fan, be sure that they will still claim you when the game is over.
These rivalry games bring out the competitiveness in all of us, but don’t let that ruin your relationship with someone over the Holidays.
Win or lose. this game will not define the Cards’ 2016-2017, so don’t let it define yours either.

Rule #1: Don’t Sell These Cards Short
We all know that Kentucky is the heavy favorite coming into the Yum Center on Wednesday night. However, that doesn’t mean that the Louisville basketball team can’t pull off the upset in front of a rowdy home crowd.
If there is one thing that Louisville does every game, it’s that they play great defense. It will be a young and inexperience team coming in with Kentucky, therefore you never know how they will react to the pressure.
We’re going to find out a lot about the Cards over the next few weeks and it all starts against Kentucky.
