We take a look at how former Louisville basketball players fared on Thursday night in the NBA.
Former Louisville basketball players Gorgui Dieng and Terry Rozier were in action on Thursday night for their respective NBA teams. Let’s take a look at how they performed.
Denver Nuggets at Minnesota Timberwolves: 102-99
This was a night to forget for Gorgui Dieng. Not only did Minnesota lose at home, but he easily had his worst game of the 2016-2017 season. It definitely comes as a surprise since he ha started the year on fire, already having a few double-doubles over the team’s first three games.
Here was Dieng’s stat-line for the night:
Gorgui Dieng: 28 minutes, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 block, and 2 points
Again, this performance was out of the norm for Dieng this year. It may have just been a bad night or it may be a sign of things to come.
However, one game doesn’t define a season. Gorgui Dieng is going to rebound from this poor game and continue dominating for Minnesota.
Boston Celtics at Cleveland Cavaliers: 122-128
Terry Rozier, for the second game in a row, played behind back-up point guard Marcus Smart. He started off the season as the guy coming off the bench, but his role has changed since Smart has returned from an ankle injury.
The Celtics didn’t get the win on Thursday, but Rozier played like his usual self. He didn’t have a huge day, but he didn’t have a bad game either.
Here was his stat-line from the game:
Terry Rozier: 16 minutes, 2 rebounds, 2 assists, and 7 points
