Louisville Basketball: Checking in on Montrezl Harrell during the NBA preseason
The Houston Rockets are now two games into their preseason schedule as we check how former Louisville basketball star Montrezl Harrell has played so far.
Former Louisville basketball player Montrezl Harrell is one of many former Cardinals trying to make a name for himself in the NBA. He played a little bit with the Rockets last season, but also spent some time in the NBA’s D-league as well. As the preseason has started, we take a look at how the former Cardinal is doing so far.
The Rockets have played two games so far this preseason and have won both. Harrell has seen a little bit of playing time thus far, but i’m sure that he is wanting more minutes on the floor to prove himself. However, he is seeing more minutes per game than former Cardinal and fellow Rocket teammate, Chinanu Onuaku.
Last season with the Rockets, Harrell averaged 3.6 points per game, 1.7 rebounds per game, and 0.3 blocks per game.
Here are his stats through the first two games of the Rockets’ preseason:
Shanghai at Houston Rockets: Win, 94-131
New York Knick at Houston Rockets: Win, 103-130
Hopefully the Houston Rockets will give Harrell more opportunities on the floor this preseason. Every Louisville basketball fan remembers how powerful and explosive he can be, let’s see if he can do the same thing in his second season in the NBA.
