Louisville Basketball: Damion Lee's status with the Boston Celtics
Former Louisville basketball player Damion Lee is currently trying to make the Boston Celtics’ roster as the NBA preseason begins.
Damion Lee was a fan-favorite for the Louisville basketball team throughout last season. He made fans stand on their feet after every made three and made every fan’s heart break after he heard the news about the school’s self-imposed postseason ban. Lee is now trying to win the heart’s of every coach on the Boston Celtics.
Jeff Greer had this to say about Lee when he first signed his deal with the Celtics last month:
“Lee, a 6-foot-6 wing who played one year at U of L, was an undrafted free agent who played with the Miami Heat in the NBA summer league. He signed a two-year contract with the Celtics, RealGM reported, though the Boston Globe reported that Lee and two other training camp signees do not have fully guaranteed deals with Boston.”
Damion Lee joins the Celtics to play along with another former Louisville basketball player, Terry Rozier. The Celtics now have two of the best Louisville players from the past couple of seasons on their 2016 training camp roster.
Terry Rozier however, had another solid showing for the Celtics as he looks to find more minutes in this year’s squad. Rozier finished the losing effort with 26 minutes, 12 points, 2 assists, and 3 rebounds.

Lee didn’t play at all in the Celtics’ first preseason game against the 76ers, but hopefully he will find some minutes towards the end of camp.
