Louisville Basketball: Terry Rozier shines in Celtics' win over the Nets
Former Louisville basketball player Terry Rozier played another great game for the Celtics in their 100-97 win over the Nets.
Current Boston Celtic and former Louisville basketball player Terry Rozier played a huge role in the Celtics’ win over the Brooklyn Nets earlier this evening. Rozier is showing that he is becoming more comfortable with the NBA game and is playing at a consistent high level. Another strong showing tonight should have given the Celtics’ coaching staff that much more confidence in his abilities.
The Boston Celtics moved to 3-1 on the preseason and look to play the New York Knicks on Saturday.
The good news for Terry Rozier is that he is proving that he is Boston’s best option at being the back-up point guard. He will never start over Isaiah Thomas, but he should provide the Celtics a solid player off the bench in the 2016-2017 season. If tonight was any proof, he looks like he will do just fine.
Here is Rozier’s stat line from tonight’s 100-97 win:
21 minutes, 1 rebound, 7 assists, 3 steals, and 10 points.
Even though he had one of his lowest scoring games of the NBA preseason, however I would argue that Rozier had his best game of the preseason. He did a better job distributing the basketball tonight and being more involved on the defensive end of the floor with three steals.
Rozier is slowing starting to prove that he is getting better each season and it should be fun watching him continue to develop under Celtics’ head coach Brad Stevens for the rest of the season.
