Louisville Basketball: Top quotes from Thursday's press conference

We take a look at the top quotes from Louisville basketball’s press conference about the NCAA’s allegations.

Today was the day that everyone around the Louisville basketball program had been waiting for after news that the NCAA’s allegations would be made known on Thursday afternoon. It was a sad scene to watch, as Tom Jurich and Rick Pitino answered questions about the actions of a former Louisville basketball employee who possibly gave improper benefits to recruits.

I did think that everyone who attended the press conference that represented the Cardinals’ basketball program handled the situation as well as expected. It was good to see Jurich support Pitino, yet again, in front of many reporters who were set on probing until they found a story beneath the story.

However, that’s an article for another day to discuss how repetitive and lazy some of the questions were this afternoon.

For now, let’s go to the Twitter-sphere and check out some of the top quotes from Louisville’s press conference about the NCAA’s allegations:

After all of everyone’s investigations, it still seems to hold true that Rick Pitino had zero knowledge of the things that were going on at the time dealing with Andre McGee. For anyone who still thinks otherwise, then I don’t know what more proof that you need to believe Pitino.

Not only did the University of Louisville find that to be true, but the NCAA also just came back and acknowledged that as well. Unless you have been the head coach of a division one basketball program, then please hold your judgements on what a coach should or shouldn’t know.
