Louisville Basketball: What Did Terry Rozier Say After His Career-Night?
We take a look at what former Louisville basketball player Terry Rozier had to say after his career-night with the Boston Celtics.
Former Louisville basketball player Terry Rozier and the Boston Celtics dominated the Orlando Magic on Wednesday night. The 117-77 win gave the Celtics their 13th win on this season and it was the best that Rozier has ever played in NBA.
Rozier has been fighting for playing time this year coming off the bench. He has improved greatly from his rookie season, but hasn’t been able to accrue enough minutes on the floor to make a difference.
That changed in a big way on Wednesday night.
Take a look at what Terry Rozier had to say about his big day, according to Cody Taylor from Basketball Insiders:
“I just try to play hard defensively,” Rozier said on what sparked his night. “I got some run outs on offense and I just started feeling good about myself. We started drawing up plays and [it allowed] me to work with a lot of room, so I got to play. I felt like I was in college again a little bit.”
“It’s huge for my confidence,” Rozier said. “It’s just huge for me [and] it’s huge for us. When I get in there, I’m not really worried about scoring. I’m just worried about playing as hard defense as I can play, making my opponent work and then I know the offensive end will open up for me. I’ve been a scorer all my life so that’s what I try to pride myself on. It feels good.”

This was an extremely impressive outing from Terry Rozier and I’m sure that Celtics’ head coach Brad Stevens took notice.
There will be opportunities like this for Rozier over the course of the long NBA season. Not to mention, if he keeps playing like this, he may find himself a starting job in the league before too long.
