Loyola comes back to beat Lafayette, 67-64 in Patriot opener (Feb 28, 2017)

BALTIMORE (AP) Jarred Jones scored 21 points and Cam Gregory added 11 points and 11 rebounds as Loyola of Maryland posted a 67-64 come-from-behind victory over Lafayette in an opening round Patriot League game Tuesday night.

James Fives hit two free throws with 2:48 remaining to give the Greyhounds the lead for good, 65-64, and Chuck Champion hit two more with nine seconds left.

The Greyhounds advance to play No. 2 seed Boston University in a quarterfinal game Thursday in Boston.

Jones hit 10 of 18 shots from the field and grabbed nine boards to lead Loyola. Andre Walker added 11 points and dished six assists.

Loyola (15-15) trailed by five, 32-27, at intermission and took its first lead of the second half on a 3-pointer by Andrew Kostecka with 4:08 left.

Matt Klinewski finished with 15 points to lead Lafayette (9-21), with Paulius Zalys adding 13 points.
