Loyola Marymount defeats Jacksonville State 77-60

LOS ANGELES (AP) Adom Jacko and Steven Haney scored 21 points each to help Loyola Marymount defeat Jacksonville State 77-60 Friday night to close its nonconference schedule unbeaten at home.

Jacko picked up his third double-double of the season with 11 rebounds, while Haney went 3-for-5 from 3-point range. Friday was the second-straight game the Lions (7-4) had two players with 20-point games.

Jacksonville State (3-10) remains winless on the road. Malcolm Drumwright scored 16 to lead the Gamecocks and Greg Tucker added 11 points.

Jacksonville State made only 36 percent of its shots (20-for-55) and made 19 turnovers.

LMU outrebounded the Gamecocks 43-31 and had nine steals.

The Lions broke open a close game midway through the first half, opening a 10-7 lead to 27-15 near halftime.

Drumwright scored eight of his points in the opening minutes of the second half, but Jacksonville State got no closer than 12 points.
