Maine makes 13 3-pointers, beats Brown 98-92

BANGOR, Maine (AP) Kevin Little and Troy Reid-Knight made back-to-back 3s in the final two minutes to help Maine hold on to beat Brown 98-92 on Saturday.

Little scored 24 points with six 3-pointers, and Reid-Knight added 17 with three 3s. Aaron Calixte chipped in 22 points with three 3-pointers and six assists for Maine (4-9), which shot 13 of 24 for 54 percent from beyond the arc.

Tavon Blackmon scored 20 points to lead Brown (4-9). Steven Spieth, Jason Massey and Obi Okolie added 17 points apiece. Cedric Kuakumensah had 16 points and 10 rebounds.

Kuakumensah made a layup to pull Brown to 74-73 with eight minutes left. Reid-Knight answered with a 3 to spark a 9-5 spurt and stretched Maine's lead to 83-78. Brown shot 5 of 8 from the line to pull to 86-83 with 2:19 left before Little and Reid-Knight hit 3s and the Black Bears pulled away.
