Marcus Paige's spectacular Senior Night speech brings Roy Williams to tears
The North Carolina Tar Heels beat Syracuse at home on Senior Night Monday, and after the game star guard Marcus Paige fought back tears in a long and emotional farewell speech to the crowd at the Dean Smith Center.
Paige saluted his parents and his girlfriend Taylor — who is a cheerleader for the Tar Heels — and individually thanked each coach sitting on the bench. His message for coach Roy Williams was beautiful.

When Williams took the microphone, he mentioned North Carolina's long-running academic scandal, and said that coaching his current group of players has been an "outlet" for him.
