Marist pulls away in final 2 minutes to beat Manhattan 75-70

RIVERDALE, N.Y. (AP) Brian Parker scored 16 points and made 10 free throws, and Marist pulled away in the final two minutes to beat Manhattan 75-70 on Sunday.

Khallid Hart had 17 points to lead Marist (2-4, 1-1 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference). Ryan Funk added 16 points with four 3-pointers, and Kristinn Palsson chipped in 14 points.

Rich Williams scored 22 points and RaShawn Stores added 18 for Manhattan (1-5, 0-2).

Shane Richards made a 3-pointer to give the Jaspers had their largest lead of the second half, 53-42. Palsson made two 3-pointers and a pair of free throws as part of a 14-3 surge to tie it at 56.

Zane Waterman scored four points and the Jaspers had their last lead, 67-66 with 3:36 left. Funk made two free throws and a 3-pointer, and Parker added 3 of 4 free throws in the last two minutes to seal it.
