RICHMOND, Ky. (AP) Nick Mayo scored a career-high 31 points and grabbed nine rebounds, Asante Gist scored 22 points with five assists, and Eastern Kentucky outlasted Tennessee Tech for a 75-71 win in the regular-season finale for both teams on Saturday.

Mayo, who made 12 of 18 from the field and 3 of 5 3-pointers for Eastern Kentucky (12-19, 5-11 Ohio Valley), became the first sophomore in school history and 35th overall to reach 1,000 points.

Tennessee Tech (12-19, 8-8) held its largest lead at 11-8 with 13:06 left in the first half, but Mayo hit back-to-back jumpers to give the Colonels the lead for good. Eastern Kentucky shot 57.7 percent in the first half for a 39-35 lead at the break and led by 12 with 2:21 remaining.

Mason Ramsey led the Golden Eagles with 16 points and seven rebounds, and Hakeem Rogers added 15 points.
