MOREHEAD, Ky. (AP) — Drew McDonald notched his first career triple-double, Tyler Sharpe sank five 3-pointers on his way to a career-high 28 points and Zaynah Robinson added 20 points, five rebounds and four assists as Northern Kentucky breezed to a 93-71 victory over Morehead State on Tuesday night.

McDonald, a senior who came into the game with 38 career double-doubles, finished with 12 points, 14 rebounds and 11 assists for the Norse (7-1). It was the first triple-double by a Norse player since 2001 (Craig Conley had 24 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists). Sharpe and Robinson combined to make 17 of 26 shots from the floor and the Norse shot 63 percent from the field (37 of 59). Dantez Walton hit three 3s and scored 15.

A.J. Hicks paced the Eagles (2-5) with 20 points and tied his career high with nine steals. Lamontray Harris pitched in with 15 points, seven rebounds and five assists, while De'Von Cooper scored 14.

Morehead State led 21-16, but the Norse went on an 11-0 run to grab the lead for good and Walton's 3-pointer at the buzzer gave Northern Kentucky a 46-38 lead at halftime. The Norse wasted little time pulling away in the second half, using a 21-6 run to go up 67-44 with 12:13 left in the game.
