Merrimack wins 4th straight, beats Robert Morris 53-49

MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. (AP) — Jaleel Lord registered 14 points and eight rebounds as Merrimack narrowly defeated Robert Morris 53-49 on Saturday.

Juvaris Hayes had 12 points for Merrimack (11-8, 5-1 Northeast Conference), which earned its fourth consecutive win. Idris Joyner added seven rebounds.

Robert Morris scored 26 points in the second half, a season low for the team.

AJ Bramah had 16 points for the Colonials (8-10, 4-1), whose four-game winning streak ended with the loss. Yannis Mendy added eight rebounds. Dante Treacy had seven assists.

The Warriors leveled the season series against the Colonials with the win. Robert Morris defeated Merrimack 69-58 on Jan. 4. Merrimack takes on St. Francis (Pa.) on the road on Monday. Robert Morris faces Sacred Heart at home on Monday.
