Miami Hurricanes at Louisville: Live Streaming and Game Info
After outlasting Virginia Tech on Wednesday night, the Miami Hurricanes head to Louisville in hopes of getting their first key road win of the Season on Saturday at the KFC Yum Center.
After getting Career highs of 19 and 16 in their previous game against NC State, Anthony Lawrence Jr. and Ebuka Izundu contributed 12 and eight off the bench in the victory over the Hokies. The Hurricanes were able to overcome an off-night from star freshman Bruce Brown. Brown scored only two points on 1-12 from the floor.
Louisville enters the game off of a 71-55 loss at Virginia Monday night. Louisville was without three starters and key reserve Tony Hicks in the loss to the Cavaliers. Guard Quentin Snider, the Cardinals second leading scorer was out with a hip flexor injury. Forward Deng Adel who is the team’s third leading scorer and Center Mangok Mathiang were suspended for the game for missing curfew on Saturday.
Adel and Mathiang received one game suspensions and Snider is expected to return against Miami after missing six games. The Hurricanes only marque win this season is against North Carolina.
A big road win would be a huge boost for Miami’s NCAA Tournament hopes. After Saturday, Miami has several opportunities down the stretch to get key road wins. Miami plays at Virginia February 20 and travels to Virginia Tech and Florida State to close out the regular season.
Louisville presents a lot of problems defensively. By virtually every measure they are one of the nation’s elite teams on defense. ESPN analyst Dick Vitale spoke to Rick Bozich of Louisville television station WDRB about the Cardinals D:
“I like Louisville very much defensively. Very athletic. Long, tough mentally and I think obviously the upside is they’re going to get Snider back. He’s a catalyst, an engine that makes them go. He’s having a real solid year.
On offense, the Cardinals are led by Donovan Mitchell at 15.1 points per game. Snider and Adel are the only other players to average in double figures. Six cardinals average at least seven points per game.

Next Game: Miami returns home for the first of two straight and three of their next four at home to face at the Watsco Center. The Yellow Jackets are making a late push for an NCAA Tournament bid under first year coach Josh Pastner. They are 5-6 in the ACC. Georgia Tech has wins over North Carolina, Notre Dame and Florida State in conference play, but have lost their last two in the ACC.
