With 13:47 remaining in the second half, Phelps made his debut. He and the rest of the Curtain of Distraction forced Oregon State's Stephen Thompson Jr. to miss both free throws, as Wells Fargo Arena crowd erupted in what was a commanding 51-28 Arizona State lead.
