Michigan State Recruiting: 4-star 2018 PG Foster Loyer commits
Michigan State recruiting added another to its 2018 basketball class in four-star point guard Foster Loyer.
The future of Michigan State basketball is very bright. A reason for that is the improvement of Michigan State recruiting, thanks to head coach Tom Izzo. He has really turned a corner in his approach and is getting many of his ‘Plan A’ guys. Four-star point guard Foster Loyer is one of those players.

Although he’s not a McDonald’s All-American or five-star prospect, the 2018 recruit is one of the better passers in the class and is a very steady point guard.
Just check out how well he can handle the ball in this highlight film:
Loyer is on the smaller side of things, standing just 6-foot-0, 157 pounds, but he has over a year to prepare for college basketball and add some strength. His passing and mid-range shooting ability compare him to the likes of former Spartan great Scott Skiles.
Some services have him listed as a three-star recruit, but after his commitment to Michigan State, expect to see those ratings get a bump. In fact, 247Sports even gave him a four-star rating and moved him up to the No. 118 overall prospect in the 2018 class.
The point guard joins Thomas Kithier of Macomb Dakota as the other 2018 commitment for Michigan State and the class is filling up fast.
