Middle Tennessee State just busted everyone's bracket
There's a very good chance your bracket has already been irrevocably busted less than two full days in the NCAA tournament. Middle Tennessee State stunned No. 2 seed Michigan State Friday, blowing open the bottom half of the Midwest region.
The Spartans were the favorite to win the national title at some sports books, and were listed at +525 by Bovada before the tournament began. Michigan State opened as a 17-point favorite to beat Middle Tennessee State, but the Blue Raiders shot an astounding 55.9 percent from the field and hit 11 3-pointers to win by nine.
No one gave the Blue Raiders a chance. On NCAA.com, 21.9 percent of all brackets had Michigan State winning the national title. Of the more than 13 million brackets submitted on ESPN's site, just 2.2 percent of users picked the Spartans to lose.
97.8% of #TournamentChallenge brackets had Michigan State winning in the first round, 61.8% to make Final Four
