Morehead State University men's basketball coach Sean Woods faces a misdemeanor battery charge after two of his players say the coach assaulted them during a game last month, according to the Kentucky Herald-Ledger.

After Morehead State played at the University of Evansville on Nov. 19, Malik Maitland and Soufiyane Diakite informed a Morehead State police officer that Woods assaulted them during the game, television station WKTY reports.

Maitland said that Woods backhanded him in the chest during halftime. Diakte said Woods shoved him during a timeout and and once in the locker room.

Woods is scheduled to appear in court in February. He was previously suspended one game in 2012 for shoving a player.
