RENO, Nev. (AP) Cameron Oliver scored a career-high 29 points and hauled in 17 rebounds Saturday to lead Nevada to an 85-72 win over Colorado State that clinched the Mountain West season title and a No. 1 seed in next week's conference tournament.

The two teams entered the game tied for first place.

Nevada (25-6, 14-4) took control in the second half with a 20-3 run that included 3-pointers from Jordan Caroline, D.J. Fenner and Marcus Marshall to lead 64-51 with 9:47 to play.

Colorado State (21-10, 13-5) twice cut the gap back to single digits before Caroline slammed in a dunk and got the free throw after being fouled to spark a 6-0 spurt that made it 72-58 with just under seven minutes to play. The Wolf Pack protected the double-figure margin the rest of the way.
