Nevada pulls away from Drake 79-71

RENO, Nev. (AP) Marqueze Coleman scored 19 points and freshman Cameron Oliver matched his career-best with 17 points as Nevada broke away from Drake 79-71 on Saturday night.

Coleman scored three unanswered baskets late in the game, putting the Wolf Pack (7-3) up by 14 points, 77-63 and forcing a Drake timeout. The Bulldogs missed their next four shots, including three 3-pointers.

Drake (4-6) closed on an 8-2 run over the final 1:50 but it wasn't enough.

Oliver scored all of his points in the second half. Tyron Criswell grabbed 12 rebounds and scored 10 points. D.J. Fenner added 13 points and Eric Cooper Jr. 11 as Nevada won its fourth game at home.

Reed Timmer scored 17 points, Kale Abrahamson 16 and Jacob Enevold Jensen 13 with 11 boards for Drake.

The game was part of the Mountain West versus Missouri Valley Conference Challenge.
