DURHAM, N.H. (AP) Jaleen Smith and Tanner Leissner each scored 20 points and combined on 16-for-26 shooting and New Hampshire beat Maryland-Baltimore County 74-65 in a quarterfinal contest in an American East Conference Tournament game Wednesday night.

Iba Camara had a double-double for New Hampshire (20-11) with 10 points and 16 rebounds with five coming on the offensive end. The Wildcats beat UMBC 94-90 in double overtime Saturday and earned the right to play at home.

Jordan Reed's only basket of the night gave the Wildcats a 3-0 lead and they never trailed. New Hampshire led 36-29 at halftime. Smith's layup with 14:50 to go made it 50-37.

Sam Schweitz's layup and Rodney Elliott's layup with 8:33 left capped a 14-2 run for the Retrievers, but Smith followed with a 3-point play, Camara a layup, and Leissner added a jumper and UMBC couldn't get closer.
