New Hampshire tops Maine 99-91

BANGOR, Maine (AP) Tanner Leissner scored 30 points, a career high, and New Hampshire topped Maine 99-91 Monday night.

Leissner was 11 of 18 from the field and grabbed seven rebounds for the Wildcats (9-8, 2-2 American East). New Hampshire shot over 49 percent and outrebounded Maine 52-33, led by Iba Camara with 18 boards, to go with his 16 points. Daniel Dion had 19 points and Jacoby Armstrong added 13.

Kevin Little led the Black Bears (6-12, 2-3) with 19 points. Aaron Calixte and Shaun Lawton added 16 apiece while Isaac Vann had 15 points and four steals.

New Hampshire went on an 18-2 run midway through the first half, taking a 39-21 lead. An 8-2 spurt right before half - including a 3-pointer from Dion - made it 52-30 at the break.

The Wildcats led 85-68 with 4:23 left, and a 12-5 run by Maine trimmed the deficit to 10 with 1:09 left, but the Black Bears ran out of time.
