After the withering run to open the second half, the Hawks maintained a roughly 20-point lead the rest of the way.
Jalen Crutcher scored a career-high 23 points, making seven 3-pointers, to lead Dayton (9-9, 3-3), which saw a three-game win streak end. The Flyers have not won at Saint Joseph's since Jan. 29, 2000.
Saint Joseph's held Dayton to 37-percent shooting and outrebounded the Flyers 43-32. Pierfrancesco Oliva pulled down 15 boards for the Hawks.
