North Carolina opens as betting favorite over Villanova in NCAA final

North Carolina and Villanova will add to their NCAA Tournament history on Monday. And the oddsmakers think the Tar Heels are the favorites.

According to @davemasobol, North Carolina is a three-point favorite. Pinnacle Sports opened the Tar Heels as a 2.5 point choice.

The Tar Heels and Wildcats have met six times before, with UNC taking five of the matchups.

The only victory Villanova has against North Carolina in NCAA Tournament play came in 1985.

That was the year the Cinderella Wildcats won it all.

Otherwise, it has been all North Carolina. The most recent meeting was a 78-71 victory in 2013 in a first-round matchup.
