North Florida beats St. Francis Brooklyn 78-65

WEST HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) Chris Davenport scored 20 points with seven assists and North Florida topped St. Francis Brooklyn 78-65 in the Brooklyn Hoops Holiday Invitational tournament.

Davenport was 7 of 10 from the field and North Florida (5-2) shot 51 percent, including 12 of 23 from beyond the arc (52 percent). Dallas Moore had 16 points with four 3-pointers, Beau Beech and Demarcus Daniels added 13 points apiece and Trent Mackey contributed 12.

North Florida made a 15-3 run early - all on 3-pointers - to open a 20-9 lead and the Ospreys never trailed. After Beach and Moore both hit 3s in the last minute of the first half, North Florida took a 49-30 lead to the lockers.

The lead reached 20 on Mackey's 3-pointer 3:29 into the second half and St. Francis never threatened.

The Terriers (1-4) were led by Amdy Fall with 13 points and 10 rebounds while Chris Hooper and Yunus Hopkinson both had 11 points.
