EVANSTON, Ill. (AP) Northwestern sophomore forward Aaron Falzon has undergone season-ending knee surgery.

The school said in a news release on Sunday that Falzon will seek a medical redshirt and would have three seasons of eligibility, starting in 2017-18.

Falzon averaged 8.4 points and 3.4 rebounds while appearing in all 32 games as a freshman last season. He also hit 63 3-pointers, second-most in program history by a freshman.

Falzon was limited to 20 minutes in three games this season.
