Notre Dame will try to bounce back from two consecutive losses against Colgate. Here’s how to watch Notre Dame vs Colgate online.

After back-to-back losses, Notre Dame is in desperate need of a bounce-back win. Against 2-9 Colgate, the Irish may have found their win.

Colgate is at the beginning of a miserable season. At 2-9, the Raiders have done nothing impressive this season. Being led by a group of underclassmen, Colgate is an inexperienced team that has shown they aren’t capable of competing with ranked teams.

In their first game of the season, the Raiders were blown out by Syracuse, 83-55. Although Notre Dame has had a difficult time the last two games, they’re still head and shoulders above Colgate.

This game isn’t a needed win for the Fighting Irish. What head coach Mike Brey needs to do is try to find players outside their normal eight who can offer support off the bench. In other words, don’t play the starters for a ton of minutes, and let other bench players besides Temple Gibbs, Rex Pflueger, and Matt Ryan play extended minutes.

The Irish’s biggest concern is the lack of depth. They’ve struggled to finish games against Villanova and Purdue. What they need to do with easy games is develop bench players.

Getting John Mooney, Elijah Burns, and the other low minute players involved is a vital key to Notre Dame’s future success. Against Colgate, the Irish may not need much help, but when they begin conference play, having a deep bench is going to be the difference in games.

Look for this game to be pretty lopsided. Colgate has shown no sign of turning their season around. They’re currently stuck in a five-game losing streak and have taken a shake in confidence with some close losses.

Notre Dame should run away with this one. In a game that won’t be close, the Irish will hopefully look to develop deeper bench players. Consider this game more of a learning experience than a bounce-back game.
