Oakland gets hot late, beats Binghamton 83-72
ROCHESTER, Mich. (AP) Hot-shooting guard Kahlil Felder scored 13 of his 25 points in the deciding run to help Oakland beat Binghamton 83-72 on Monday night.
The Golden Grizzlies (5-3) were trailing 66-64 with 7:08 to play when Felder scored seven straight points in about 90 seconds. He started with a pair of free throws, added a layup that he turned into a 3-point play after being fouled, and then scored again, prompting a Binghamton timeout.
Oakland was ahead 71-66 at that point and kept going to finish on a 19-6 run. Felder has scored 20 or more points in all eight games this season. He added four steals and seven assists.
Binghamton (2-6) was playing without its starting center and shooting guard and then lost Justin McFadden to a nose injury during the game. Everson Davis scored a season-high 18 points, Marlon Beck II added 15 with a season-high eight assists.
