Ohio State offers scholarship to Seton Hall transfer Sterling Gibbs

Published May. 12, 2015 10:36 a.m. ET

After reports surfaced that Sterling Gibbs was leaning toward attending UConn after transferring from Seton Hall, it appears that his search isn't quite done yet.

Thad Matta and Ohio State hosted Gibbs on Sunday and gave the lethal backcourt scorer a scholarship offer.

According to the Columbus Dispatch, Temple Gibbs, the father of Sterling, said Sunday afternoon that his son plans to visit Connecticut this week and he will make his decision after that about where to play his final year as a graduate transfer eligible for the 2015-16 season.

Gibbs averaged 16.3 points a game last season and shot 43.6 percent on 3-pointers.
