Ohio State snaps 4-game skid with 98-62 win over VMI

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) Marc Loving, Jae'Sean Tate, Keita Bates-Diop and Trevor Thompson all scored in double figures as Ohio State snapped a four-game losing streak Saturday with an 89-62 win over VMI.

Thompson, a sophomore transfer from Virginia Tech, scored seven points during a 15-2 run that gave Ohio State (3-4) control of the contest midway through the first half. He finished with 13 points, the most he has scored in Buckeye uniform.

Jaquan Lyle had a basket, two assists and a steal during the decisive run. He posted a line of eight points, seven assists and six rebounds.

Tate had 19 points, while Loving tallied 17 and Bates-Diop added 12.

QJ Peterson led the Keydets (3-4) with 23 points while Tim Marshall and Julian Eleby added 12 and 11, respectively. The Keydets never got closer than 10 points in the second half.
