Old Dominion defeats Buffalo 77-58

NORFOLK, Va. (AP) Trey Freeman scored 22 points and Brandan Stith added 15 points as Old Dominion beat Buffalo 77-58 Monday night.
The Monarchs (2-0) started the game with a 27-10 run and were never challenged. Freeman scored 13 points during the burst.
Freeman was 6 for 11 from the field and 9 for 12 from the free-throw line. Stith, whose father Bryant Stith is an assistant coach at ODU and played a decade in the NBA, also had nine rebounds.
Old Dominion's Jordan Baker had 12 points on 3-for-3 shooting from beyond the arc but was 3 for 7 from the foul line. Baker collected eight rebounds. Aaron Bacote and Ahmad Caver both chipped in 9 points.
Jarryn Skeete had 12 points for the Bulls (1-1). Rodell Wigginton and Blake Hamilton both had 9 points.
