Oregon Basketball: Chris Boucher Expected To Play vs UCLA
The Oregon Basketball team will likely have Chris Boucher on the court Wednesday against UCLA.
Oregon Head Coach Dana Altman spoke to the media earlier this week and said that Senior Chris Boucher playing would be a game-time decision. Boucher is coming off a severe ankle sprain and has missed the last two game for the Oregon Ducks. Both games were wins against UNLV and Fresno State.
Boucher has continued to grow into one of the key role players for Oregon this season, both on Offense and Defense. According to Jon Rothstein with CBS Sports, Boucher is expected to give it a go tonight against the second-ranked UCLA Bruins.
While Oregon gets Boucher back, Thomas Welsh will return for the UCLA Bruins. UCLA leads the Pac-12 in scoring pushing over 95 points per game and Boucher will be more effective on the Defensive end on Wednesday night. Of course, having the Senior as a scoring outlet doesn’t hurt either. The Oregon Ducks will have to find points from someone in order to compete against the Bruins and keep the game close.
Boucher is averaging over 14 points per game this season, hitting over 35 percent from beyond the arc and blocking over 3 shots per game on average.
The Oregon Ducks and UCLA Bruins tipoff from sold out Matthew Knight Arena at 6pm Pacific Time on ESPN2.
