Published Dec. 18, 2015 8:35 p.m. ET

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) The start of the Mississippi-Memphis game will be delayed about an hour after a power outage in downtown Memphis affected the FedExForum.

Tipoff is scheduled for 8:07 p.m. CST. The Rebels enter the game at 8-2, while Memphis is 7-2.

The lights in the arena came back on about 7:15 p.m CST. Officials needed the lights to reach full power and then provide the teams a chance to warm up.

The outage map for Memphis Light Gas and Water Division showed only the main section of downtown along the Mississippi River was impacted by the outage and 100 to 1,000 customer affected, but that included the FedExForum, the Tigers' home arena.
