Red Storm targeting German prospect

Chris Mullin has proven in his short stint as head coach of the St. John's basketball program that he's willing to go to extreme lengths to add viable talent to his roster.

Now, St. John's is pursuing Class of 2016 forward Richard Freudenberg from Germany.

Duke, Texas, and Vanderbilt are the other three programs who have shown interest to Freudenberg. Scout.com's Evan Daniels calls him "a smooth forward with a high skill level."

Freudenberg was part of the U16 National Team for his native country and is planning on participating with the U18 team this coming summer.
