Rice dominates second half for 102-74 win over NW State

HOUSTON (AP) — Quentin Millora-Brown had 21 points to go with eight rebounds as Rice dominated the second half to roll over Northwestern State 102-74 on Saturday afternoon.

Rice (3-2) led throughout but could not break free of Northwestern State until the Owls opened the second half on a 15-4 run. Rice (3-2) led 39-35 at the break but smashed the Demons 63-39 in the second half for an easy win.

Drew Peterson drilled 6 of 8 from long range to total 18 points as five Owls hit double figures and 10 put points on the board. Chris Mullins added 14 points, Josh Parrish had 12 with seven rebounds and Ako Adams chipped in 10 points while dishing out seven assists.

DeAndre Love came off the bench to score 16 points for Northwestern State (1-3) which has lost three straight games.
