Rose's 3s help Binghamton beat CS Northridge 70-65 in Cancun (Nov 22, 2017)

CANCUN, Mexico (AP) Timmy Rose made consecutive 3-pointers late to help lift Binghamton over Cal State Northridge 70-65 on Wednesday in the third-place game of the Cancun Challenge.

J.C. Show scored 17 points to lead Binghamton (2-4). Thomas Bruce had 13 points and 10 rebounds, and Rose finished with nine points.

Tavrion Dawson had 23 points on 10-of-20 shooting for Cal State Northridge (1-4). Lyrik Shreiner scored 14 points and Micheal Warren chipped in 12.

Rose's 3s gave the Bearcats a 65-59 lead with 2:26 to play. Warren answered with a 3-pointer to pull the Matadors to 65-62, but the Bearcats made 5 of 6 free throws to seal it.

Cal State Northridge led by as many as seven points early in the second half. Binghamton used a 17-4 run for a 49-40 lead with 11 minutes remaining. Snow scored eight points during the stretch and the Bearcats led the rest of the way.
