Sabonis, Gonzaga need rally, OT to beat San Francisco 102-94

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) Domantas Sabonis had 35 points and 14 rebounds on Saturday night, and Gonzaga surged in overtime after overcoming a 16-point, second-half deficit to beat San Francisco 102-94.

Kyle Wiltjer added 30 points and 11 boards with a deep 3 in overtime that sparked the Bulldogs' 9-2 run to pull away.

Gonzaga (12-3, 4-0 West Coast Conference) trailed 74-58 with 8:49 left in the second half and used a 24-5 run capped by 13 straight points to get to an 82-79 lead with 19.9 seconds left.

Tim Derksen forced overtime with a two-dribble, pull-up 3 with 6.2 seconds left and Josh Perkins missed a 3-point attempt for Gonzaga as time expired.

Devin Watson had 20 of his career-high 33 points in the first half when San Francisco (8-6, 2-2) built a 38-34 lead. Ronnie Boyce III opened the second with flurry of 3s to help the Dons build their double-digit lead.
