Sacred Heart wins fourth straight, beats CCSU 77-62 (Feb 11, 2017)

FAIRFIELD, Conn. (AP) Sean Hoehn scored a season-high 17 points and Sacred Heart rolled to a 77-62 victory over Central Connecticut State on Saturday for its fourth straight win.

Hoehn was 5 of 8 from the floor, matched a career-best with five 3-pointers, and scored 17 points for the third time this season. Matej Buovac had 13 points and made three 3s, and Quincy McKnight added 11 points for the Pioneers (12-15, 7-7 Northeast Conference).

Mustafa Jones scored 14 points and grabbed six rebounds to lead CCSU (5-20, 3-11). Austin Nehls and Khalen Cumberlander had 12 points apiece.

Sacred Heart took the lead for good with 12 minutes left in the first half and built a 39-30 halftime lead. CCSU pulled within eight points early in the second half but didn't get closer.

The Pioneers have won four straight and five of the last six games in the series.
